Crypto firm creates special service to help VIPs enter the NFT market

Crypto specialist MoonPay has set up a special concierge service to support celebrities trade in non-fungible tokens, known as NFTs.
According to specialist crypto news site The Block, the company has been working with television host Jimmy Fallon and rapper Post Malone as clients for the beta version of its service.
In a recent interview, Fallon confirmed he bought one of the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s apes through MoonPay. The NFT apes currently trade for at least US$ 186,000 each.

Speaking to The Block, MoonPay explained that that it is offering a ‘white glove service for high net worth individuals who want to purchase NFTs in the simplest way without all the hassle of setting up a wallet, buying crypto, using that crypto to purchase an NFT and then taking custody of it’.

The specialist site also spotted NFT transactions made through MoonPay linked to rappers Post Malone and Lil Baby. Earlier this month, MoonPay stated that it raised US$ 555 million in a funding round led by Tiger Global Management, valuing the company at US$ 3.4 billion.
"NFT artwork is having a boom at the moment, with artists both creating NFT content to sell and also buying NFTs for their own collections. We have also seen major traditional auction houses creating their own specialist NFT services. Perhaps this is not something Blockchain technology pioneers had in mind but, like what we have seen with the internet, this is what happens with new technologies – they can create new, exciting and unexpected markets."
Celebrated Eduardo Carvalho, the founder and CEO of Dynasty Global Investments AG.
